1.The first event that came to mind when reading this prompt was past relationships with friends or lovers. One in particular, i felt like i was done wrong without a valid excuse. An apology would have gone a long way i helping mend my mind at the time. It would have helped me move on and learn from the relationship but it just made harbor feelings i’ve never felt. Feelings so raw and repulsing that really changed me as a person but made me understand people better.

2. If i was doctor who or a deity with similar powers, i’d visit myself all the way back when i was just a toddler. Even though, i can remember some things i’d like to be able to fully remember my time in the Dominican Republic. Immigrating here at just 9 made difficult for me to latch on to nostalgic moments in the D.R. It’d also help me write about myself!

3.** I wish i knew more about my defunct grandad(mom’s dad) whom i never had the pleasure to meet. I’ve heard countless and countless stories of him and the more i get to know about him the more i want to actually meet him. The way my mom describes him, one would think of him as a badass. He was a very hard worker and very disciplined. My mom emphasized that having him in my childhood would have made me disciplined, strict and structured. I would have loved to have met him and been a part of his life.

4. An event that i recently heard about from a friend was the governor’s ball, here in Randall island, New York. I’m really stoked about the event because one of the acts there is among my favorite bands. The strokes are really really good and i’m glad that i finally get to see them live in action.

5. A piece of art that always encapsulated my interest is the art in Art Spiegelman’s graphic novel Maus. Although, it is very simplistic, it is very haunting. He has a way of making images that stick in your mind. His work really has surpassed the trial of time.
