I see you’ve started to list the different things you and your dad had to deal with as immigrants. That’s a great exercise; however, here, I’d like you to consider two physical events. For instance, the day your dad arrived in NY vs. the day you arrived in NY? What comes from writing about those two events in the same paragraph? Perhaps a deeper understanding of how different your experiences were? perhaps realizing the difference between being a child and immigrating vs. an adult?
