Two events that have impacted me and relate to my essay topics are me coming to this country and me being the first person in my family to go to college. Although, these two events might seem very different, the skills required to survive both were very similar. Through these two experiences I learned about adaptability and that it is always needed to survive in a new environment. Coming to this country, the most important thing was learning the language. Going to college, I had to learn new skills like how to study and to interact not only with professors, but with my professors. Both taught me that in order to survive I had to adapt. Being the first person in my family to go to college and also being a women was hard, but with every new fundamental moment that involves change adaptability is required.
