Tomorrow’s Forecast

Today’s tomorrow’s Forecast is brought to you by English 121’s star reporter David Taveras. Thankyou now today’s tomorrow’s Forecast is going to touch on our nations political climate. As you can see right now we have a republican in office and let’s just say, he’s not doing so hot. He is the talk of the town for all the wrong reasons. Someone needs to take his phone away and the way he carries himself is downright atrocious. His way of speaking and his manners do not resemble that of a Fordham alumni much less someone that we call our current president. He runs the office like it’s his own personal playground and maintains way too much focus on building his wall when all the other aspects that need change aren’t doing well. He is a bigot and reacts to any negative comment said to him as if he is an infant. This type of temperature seems to be continuing for another year or so but after that we will finally be out of this dry spell; hopefully. Now, let’s back track to our last presidency. A Democrat was in office and not only that a black democrat was in office. The first black president to have ever sat in the Oval Office. During his presidency the nation was in awe at the momentous moment in history that all of us as Americans got to witness with our own eyes. The first black president opened doors for immigrants and for those that needed healthcare. He was given the task of repairing the damages that the president we had before him had made. Now, Obama had big ideas for this nation although, he didn’t have the congress at his disposal considering that the majority of congress was republican he couldn’t make a lot of huge adjustments to the state of our country but he did the best he could with style. He controlled and cleaned up the mess that the president before him, Bush, had made and made some good strides with Obama care and DACA. He was a huge help to our nation and we owe a lot to Obama. Now the political climate when it comes to which party is in the White House is simple. When there is a republican the American populous to my knowledge speaks about all that’s wrong with the government while on the other hand when a democrat is in the office, to my knowledge, the American populous speak about how great things are going with the current presidency. For example, Bush made a mess out of the American economy and brought us near another Great Depression. While Obama the democrat president that succeeded bush cleaned his mess up and helped America begin to flourish again. Now the republican president that has taken office now is doing away with what great strides the former president Barrack Obama had made.  Right now what we can do as a people is to vote for another democratic president to be in the White House during our next election. It shouldn’t be that we have to continue to sabotage our country and continue to vote for republican presidents when democrats are the ones that have brought this country to its true potential.

Thanks David, while I do appreciate the playfulness in form, I had a tough time figuring out what trends you were locating from history and what predictions you were making about the future. I also wondered how this emphasis on politics will become useful for your project.
