The Study Details CUNY success from Open Admission Policy by Karen W. Arenson was a campaign that created an opportunity for changing the odds for the disadvantaged students. For example, students who had poor background in high school were able to get admission in University and further their education to graduate with either bachelor’s degree or higher. Similarly, those who could not combine school and work at the same time were able to access admission. This data was justified by the fact that earlier admissions were only one third of the entire student population. On the other hand, the study also found out that those who graduated under open admission earned a total of almost $67mollion more than they could have earned without university program.
Hi Eric and Israel,
I like how you started with a topic sentence followed with an example. This helped me learn more about the opportunities for disadvantage students.
Thank you.
That’s absolutely true Erick. I can also say that I benefited from that campaign because it allows immigrants like myself to go to college and earn a degree to make a better living for myself and my family.
