English Composition 121

Responding to David’s Comments

  1. David’s critique was mostly positive, but he did note that I should insert my opinion about Matt Santos’ run for president a bit more. Overall, I think that inserting my opinion a bit more on all topics (even unwritten ones) is a general critique, and one that David pointed out well.
  2. I think that I need to be specific about why I chose the West Wing. You pointed this out to me D.W., that I could have chosen any medium. Why did West Wing have a strong effect on me specifically? I think, since I’ve finished the show now, it’ll be easier to reflect on that fact, and thus easier to complete.
  3. Speaking to number 1, I think that my opinion is important in this situation, considering it’s an autoethnography. I think that inserting my opinion in each of the three scenarios , as well as in the final, reflective paragraph, will be essential to making a connection with the reader, and being able to fully realize the purpose behind writing the paper.
