- Concerning the second draft of my autoethnography, Professor Walia pointed out several ambiguities which need clarification. For example, in my autoethnography I used “This too shall pass” as refrain, but I did not clearly mention what “This” is in “This too shall pass.” Also. it has been brought up to my attention how approach the life of Apostle Paul too broadly, and how it is difficult yo see the correlation between resilience and Paul’s suffering.
- After reviewing the feedbacks Professor Walia gave me, I thought that I should clarify the ambiguity existing in my autoethnography. I will be providing more concrete examples of what “this” was in my life. Also I will replace the words that were to general (curious, relationship, moments of trial) with more specific words. In regards to Paul’s suffering, I will attempt to resolve the problem between relating his life with resilience, but if it does not work out I am thinking of taking the example of Paul out of my autoethnography.
- Towards the end of her feedback, Professor Walia gave me an interesting way to view my project. She wrote, “I see this project as two-generational. The resilence your father carried because of his faith and the resilience you have because of your faith.” I personally have not considered my project to reflect intergenerational links, but I think it will be interesting to address this issue in my paper.
