A Problem with the Immigration Process

A moment was when my grandmother as a resident petitioned my aunt and she was falsely acussed of committing fraud. My aunt was full of hope because she was going to be able to provide a better education to her children. Another moment was when my grandmother became a citizen to petition her again but she did not want to enter the immigration process again, she was denied again. My aunt understood that where she belong was in the Dominican Republic because there was no better place to be than where she was from. She comprehended based on what her family and lawyer told her that the problem was not her but the historical problem of the immigration process in the United States, they did not want ‘aliens’ in their country.

Are the two events– your aunt being denied and your grandmother becoming a citizen? I got a little lost with the frequent use of ‘she.’ I’m glad you point to what your aunt realized through the series of rejections, but I’d also like you to consider what new ideas you come away with by putting these two events together.
